About Me

Hello, my name is Lindsay Jones. I am a senior at Fairfield University completing a degree in digital journalism and politics. Throughout my studies, I have developed strong research, writing, and reporting skills that have grown my passion for news media. 

 I've gained hands on exposure to digital news as a newsroom intern at WMUR in Manchester, NH and News 8 in New Haven, CT. I learned how to craft concise and compelling stories that engage audiences, while adapting to the fast pace demands of tv news. My work in the control room with the Fairfield Athletics broadcast team taught me to communicate effectively in a team environment.  Working under high pressure moments also sharpened my technical skills. Additionally, writing with the student publications has helped  to refine my ability to adapt reporting styles to different stories and audiences. I utilize a variety of multi-media tools to create comprehensive stories that appeal to the preferences of viewers in the digital age. 

I believe in the power of storytelling and strive to use my words and videos to amplify voices that have long been ignored. I look forward to continue developing my skills and learning more about this important industry.
